GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Groves Academy is currently seeking a School Psychologist to address student needs in a variety of areas. Our School Psychologist will work with students, parents, and teachers to help students of all ages achieve the highest degree of academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifying the developmental, learning, and behavioral needs of children and adults with a range of learning disabilities, attention disorders and emotional disorders
Conducting psycho-educational evaluations, including selecting appropriate instruments of cognitive, academic and social-emotional functioning, administering tests and making professional observations
Scoring and interpreting a range of tests measuring academic, language, memory and processing skills
Scoring and interpreting questionnaires related to emotional, behavioral and attention functioning
Collecting and evaluating data from student records and meetings with parents and teachers
Writing assessment reports that provide a knowledgeable set of appropriate and practical interventions and recommendations to address a range of educational, behavioral and cognitive issues
Meeting with students, parents and teachers to discuss the results of the evaluation and review recommendations and interventions
Providing guidance on transitional and vocational needs of young adults and high school students
Participating in School Leadership meetings to gather information about student progress and assist in developing program recommendations
Adhering to the ethical standards and codes of the profession and to the established rules, regulations, and laws governing special education programs
Participating in activities that promote professional development and use clinical/educational research to enhance therapy services
REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university
Valid Minnesota State psychologist license and school counseling certification
Experience with a full range of psycho-educational and behavioral assessment tools, including cognitive testing, academic achievement testing, and behavior rating scales
Commitment to holding all students to high expectations
Ability to collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure implementation of recommendations and strategies in the classroom and at home.
Excellent listening and communication skills
Interest in collaborating with staff to determine appropriate strategies and interventions to meet students’ needs
Organized, efficient, and able to self-manage to meet deadlines
Ability to align therapy sessions to school curriculum to support students in meeting their classroom goals

We are looking for a full-time or part-time therapist/psychologist for BHSI's Golden Valley outpatient clinic. Full-time may divide time between Golden Valley and one other BHSI location. Requirements include LP, LMFT, or LICSW licensure and at least two years of post-licensure experience.

Position Summary
The therapist is responsible for providing direct client service, including individual, group, family or marital psychotherapy at our Duluth facility. The therapist collaborates in a multi-disciplinary setting with other Emily Program clinicians to provide comprehensive treatment to the client and his or her family.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts client assessments and from assessment findings develops, implements, and coordinates services, and monitors and evaluates individualized treatment plans for those clients assigned to her or his caseload
Provides individual and family therapy
Conducts assigned group counseling sessions
Collaborates with the Emily Program staff and community professionals including physicians, medical personnel, therapists, social workers, dietitians, and community agencies in coordinating client care services and maintaining continuity of care
Identifies, supports, and evaluates clinical quality, cost, and client-satisfaction improvement initiatives; completes assigned studies, audits, and ongoing monitoring of performance indicators
Participates in client case conferences
Attends regular staff meetings
Maintains clinical records in compliance with the Emily Program policies and regulatory standards
Assists directors in designing, promoting and evaluating Program service delivery models
Maintains at all times the confidentiality of proprietary information and any client’s or employee’s medical, financial, or personal information, records, and data to which there is access
Ensures compliance to Program policies, external regulatory standards and payor requirements
Provides supervision to therapist trainees as assigned
Maintains and enhances knowledge of current clinical practice, strategies, and developments through participation in his or her professional organization; attending related seminars, workshops, and conferences; and reviewing the literature
Prepares and submits accurate, timely billing records as per Program requirements
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
